January 22, 2011, the Internal Revenue Service stamped their approval of Rasta’s Rescue Ranch, Inc. as a public charity. After a year of largely self-funding the operation, this is huge for our small rescue in that now we can turn to the community, corporations, friends, family, Facebook fans, and neighbors for 100% tax deductable donations and or just help spreading the word of our presence We can apply for grants specifically designed for non-profit organizations, expand on the potential of our small ranch, and grow our community out reach programs.
Just over a year ago a vision began, the first steps in a journey of soul and ideas, a process of paperwork, funding, and energy, physical and emotional. And now we’ve arrived at a new and exciting starting point. We hope you’ll join us on this journey!
